Ostapenko in final) in first all-teenage final on tour since 2009 Linz (Wickmayer d. Kvitova); reached second tour-level final at 2017 Moscow (l. Goerges in final); enjoyed best Grand Slam run so far by reaching 4r at US Open (l. Kanepi); QF three times at Sydney (d. No.1 Kerber in 2r, l. Konta), Doha (l. Puig) and Beijing (l. Halep); reached 3r twice (incl. Roland Garros), 2r nine times (incl. Wimbledon); fell 1r on five occasions (incl. Australian Open).
