Breaking Down The Doubles Field

The doubles draw ceremony for the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global took place Tuesday, with the Top 8 teams being placed into a single elimination draw.

 The Martina Navratilova WTA Finals Doubles Trophy was also unveiled by the woman herself. Navratilova is the best player in WTA Finals history, not only winning the most singles titles in the history of the event with eight, but also capturing a record 11 doubles titles - 10 with Pam Shriver.

This year the doubles event expanded from four to eight teams, and it has created some very exciting match-ups - check out the draw here, and below is a breakdown of the opening round match-ups...
