Though she fell short of clinching a Singapore qualifying berth by virtue of her loss in the Wuhan final, Eugenie Bouchard still has a great chance to clinch one of the four remaining spots in Beijing, where she is the No.8 seed.
Bouchard is looking to become the first Canadian since Helen Kelesi in 1989 to qualify for the WTA Finals. After Beijing, she is also scheduled to play Linz and Luxembourg, so will have a couple of more opportunities to pick up points.
Wozniacki is also planning to play Moscow, and Ivanovic is entered in Linz and Moscow.
Angelique Kerber, Ekaterina Makarova, Sara Errani and Jelena Jankovic are among those who are still alive as well and would greatly boost their chances with deep runs in Beijing. All four of them are also in the Moscow field, with Jankovic set to play Tianjin as well.
