How have January Road To Singapore Leaderboard Top 8 fared in recent years? How many players moved on to qualify for WTA Finals? Find out here!

The first month on the Road to Singapore saw stops in China (Shenzhen), New Zealand (Auckland) and Australia (Brisbane, Hobart, Sydney and Australian Open). When the dust settled and the first Road to Singapore Leaderboard was unveiled, the Australian Open finalists – champion Serena Williams and runner-up Maria Sharapova – held the top two spots. The Top 8 was rounded out by Australian Open semifinalists Madison Keys and Ekaterina Makarova, with Simona Halep, Petra Kvitova, Venus Williams and Madison Brengle rounding out the Top 8.
