With just a fortnight left until the WTA Finals begins, three spots in the Race are still up for grabs.

With just two weeks to go until the 2018 WTA season concludes at the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global, there are still three spots up for grabs as tournament action heads into its final weeks.

Petra Kvitova and Caroline Wozniacki officially qualified last week in the fourth and fifth spots, but the Race contines in the season's final weeks, as five players are still alive in the chase for the final spots.

Sloane Stephens, Elina Svitolina and Karolina Pliskova currently occupy the sixth through eighth slots in the Race, with the latter two in action this week in Hong Kong and Tianjin, respectively.

No.9 Kiki Bertens, in action in Linz and celebrating a Top 10 debut in the WTA rankings this week, and Wuhan champion Aryna Sabalenka, sitting at No.10 and also competing in Tianjin, are still in mathematical contention. 

Here's how the Porsche Race to Singapore in singles stands as of October 8:

The doubles field was confirmed over the course of the past two weeks thanks to how results unfolded at the Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open and China Open in Beijing. 

The last four teams were officially confirmed on Saturday, as Gabriela Dabrowski and Xu Yifan, Andreja Klepac and María José Martínez Sánchez, Nicole Melichar and Kveta Peschke, and Ashleigh Barty and CoCo Vandeweghe rounded out the elite eight in the doubles field.
