Johanna Konta has withdrawn from the Kremlin Cup due to a left foot injury - and can no longer qualify for the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global.
The British No.1 would have needed to reach the final in Moscow to secure her spot in the end-of-season showdown.
Konta enjoyed fine form earlier in the year, during which she reached the Wimbledon semifinal, where she lost to Venus Williams, but has suffered in recent weeks, making first-round exits at the US Open, in Wuhan and in Beijing.
Konta's absence means that France's Caroline Garcia takes the eighth slot in Singapore following a brilliant run during which she has won her last two tournaments - in Beijing and Wuhan.
