In an exclusive Facebook Live alongside her friend and Bollywood star Neha Dhupia, she revealed the surprising answer.
"Believe it or not - this might come as a shock to everybody - I wanted to be a psychologist," she said. "I even studied a little bit of it. But I stopped, I didn't graduate."
Dhupia talked about her own sporting ambitions, saying: "I always wanted to be an athlete, never could be. I'd have liked to have been a runner."
The pair had earlier led a tennis clinic at Mirza's academy in Hyderabad as part of the WTA Future Stars programme.
