Porsche Race to Singapore Update, July 17: Muguruza moves up the mountain

Wimbledon champion Garbiñe Muguruza soars into qualifying position on the Porsche Race to Singapore after claiming her second Grand Slam title.

After a thrilling fortnight at Wimbledon and less than 100 days to go until the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global, the Porsche Race to Singapore looked quite different than it did when the WTA's stars arrived at the All-England Club two weeks ago.

Wimbledon champion Garbiñe Muguruza skyrockets into the top three after winning her second Grand Slam title, moving up seven spots to No.3 in the standings. Runner-up Venus Williams also cements her place in the elite eight, as the seven-time Grand Slam champion - who's reached two major finals on the season - rises from No.8 to No.4.

Just like this week's WTA rankings, the Race also has a new singles leader following Wimbledon: quarterfinalist Simona Halep displaces Karolina Pliskova at the top spot of the Porache Race to Singapore, as the Romanian edges to the top of the leaderboard by just under 200 points.

Elsewhere in the top 10, Johanna Konta nudges up one spot to No.6 after the Miami Open champion thrilled her home fans with a run to the final four at the All-England Club.

Magdalena Rybarikova is the biggest mover on the leaderboard after the Wimbledon fortnight, as the Slovak's surprise semifinal appearance at Wimbledon sees her rise 32 places and into the top 20 in the Race standings. She returns to the top 40 in the rankings this week - having dipped outside the top 400 in the spring - and enters the top 20 in the Porsche Race to Singapore at No.18.

In doubles, the top 8 remains unchanged following Wimbledon - but runners-up Monica Niculescu and Chan Hao-ching soar over 1,600 spots after reaching a Grand Slam final in just their second tournament together this season to No.14 on the leaderboard.

Here's how the Porsche Race to Singapore Leaderboard in singles stands as of July 17.
