The two-year deal will also see the world’s largest ticket marketplace as the Official Ticket Resale Partner for the WTA Finals.

The WTA announced Monday that viagogo, the world’s largest ticket marketplace, has signed a two-year sponsorship agreement to provide a ticketing marketplace for the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global on a worldwide basis.

Under the terms of the deal, viagogo becomes one of the Official International Ticketing Partners and the sole and exclusive Official Ticket Resale Partner of the WTA Finals and will deliver a secure online global platform that will allow tennis fans their chance to get a piece of the action. Even once tickets are sold out at the box office, fans will still be able to purchase tickets through viagogo. This means greater access to tickets for customers wanting to attend the event taking place at Singapore’s brand-new, state-of-the-art Sports Hub on October 17-26.

Steve Roest, Head of Business Development, Global, Viagogo, said: "We're very proud to be working with the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global, which is our first tennis partnership in Asia. One of the highlights of the tennis calendar, this prestigious end of season event will be a festival of world-class tennis. We always like to work with the best, and with the world's top female tennis players playing at a world-class facility in Singapore, we are very excited about this partnership with the WTA. Our goal is to provide tennis fans with a seamless ticketing experience no matter where they are in the world. We have a lot of experience successfully working on some of the world's biggest sporting and entertainment events, and the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global will be no different."

Melissa Pine, Tournament Director for the WTA Finals in Singapore, said: “It is exciting to be working with viagogo, as their business is all about enabling consumers to buy any ticket, for any event, from anywhere in the world. Through its service, all global events are now local, and we're excited to give even more fans the chance to watch the WTA Finals."

Andrew Georgiou, CEO of World Sport Group, the event promoter said, "viagogo shares our mission to give people access to great sporting events and to bring fans closer to the action. We're delighted to welcome another global brand to our family of sponsors, who will help extend our reach to tennis fans worldwide."

viagogo partners with nearly a hundred of the biggest names in sport and entertainment around the world to help them control and manage the resale of their tickets. In tennis, viagogo is already the official ticket marketplace for Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, Roland Garros (The French Open), the BNP Paribas Masters, Mutua Madrid Open and the Valencia Open 500.

In the 44-year history of the WTA Finals, Singapore becomes the first city in Asia-Pacific to stage the prestigious season-ending event (October 17-26, 2014). Tennis fans will have the opportunity to get closer to their favorite stars and the WTA Finals via a season-long "Road to Singapore" journey.
