FOUR DOUBLES SPOTS UP FOR GRABS

Four spots now are taken at the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global, and four remain. So, who could be next to qualify?

Cara Black and Sania Mirza are the fourth team to secure a spot in the doubles field at the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global, joining Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci, Hsieh Su-Wei and Peng Shuai and Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina.

So, which teams could soon see themselves joining that list?

Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears and Kveta Peschke and Katerina Srebotnik are in fifth and sixth place, respectively, on the Road To Singapore doubles leaderboard, and each could potentially secure qualification with a semifinal showing this week in Wuhan.

Also in the draw and with a great chance to improve their qualification chances with deep runs in Wuhan are seventh place Garbiñe Muguruza and Carla Suárez Navarro, eighth place Alla Kudryavtseva and Anastasia Rodionova and 12th place Martina Hingis and Flavia Pennetta.

Wuhan has already had a major impact on the singles qualification scenarios, as Agnieszka Radwanska and Ana Ivanovic's early round losses have ended their chances of clinching a berth this week.

Five spots are still available, with Serena Williams, Simona Halep and Maria Sharapova having already clinched.
